The Strength of the WTCA |
|
|
|
Membership in an internationally recognized organization with direct contacts at the highest governmental levels in many countries.
|
Networking
|
All the AWTC members are part of a global family with many common objectives. Learning from and helping one another has been a common theme among WTCA members since the beginning, and it is one of the WTCA’s biggest strengths.
Reciprocity
|
In the WTCA, every local member of a WTC is automatically a member of all
WTCs. This greatly helps the local membership marketing efforts of each
WTC, and it vastly increases the amount of services that WTCs can offer their members. Reciprocity links all other WTCA members for support in providing services to their local members. The WTCA reinforces this policy by the issuance of a global WTC membership card. No other organization in the world which is devoted to international trade can offer businesses a home base in almost 300 cities located in 90 countries.
Reciprocity includes:
-
Group Trade Missions, with the cooperation of other WTCs, include such services as: locating partners, agents/distributors, setting up business meetings, government meetings, protocol, meeting the visiting delegation at the airport, helping with hotel discounts, etc..
-
Matchmaking - WTCs use each other to sell their client's products and services. They match visitors from other WTCs with their own membership.
-
Posting trade opportunities on individual web sites and publicizing them in local papers.
-
Hosting exchanges of students, business visitors etc.
-
Offering trade information on both local marketplaces and WTC members.
Individual Consulting
|
When AWTC members need individual assistance, it is readily available from staff at the WTCA headquarters, from appropriate committee chairs or from regional coordinators appointed to provide on-site advice in their respective territories. This assistance can be reflected on AWTC members to enhance their businesses.
Training
|
All AWTC members are eligible to participate in periodic WTC Development Seminars and in frequent workshops and similar orientation programs that take place over the year. This type of training creates competitiveness and enhances performance of AWTC members.
